This week I featured a hot designer Rachel Roy. This designer took a blouse that one may say is a fall top but with it's crisp pop of color is sure a hit for the summer. I love that this blouse has the cape on it so it set her look apart. She paired this with a simple pair of black pants, nude shoe and just a simple leather bracelet, this look is a win in my book. I wouldn't change a thing. I also love the fact that she wore her hair back. I think had she worn it down it would have taken away from the beauty of the top. So here you go The Look of the Week, Rachel Roy!

SUMMER HAIR!
So I do a lot of looking around for new hair styles. I love doing new a different things with my own hair. I may change the color, I may wear it crazy long (with the help of extensions), or I may just shave it off. So I took a look at what was really big this summer from celebrities.
My first look that caught my eye I was Miss Miley Cyrus. She is not the little girl anymore and I love the fact that she is really coming into her own. I think that she gets a lot of bad press for just growing up and maturing as we all know that a women does. She went completely blonde, we all know how I love blonde hair, (it kind of became my thing). Some my find it a little much but I love the fact that she took a risk and it worked out in my book. I think the color she chose looks great on her skin. I'm so glad that she is not to tan to pull if off. I love the face that she is making here in this picture that she took herself, it just show that she still likes to have a little fun even though she is engaged.
The next big trend is the Fishtail. Blake Lively was featured in my Look of the Week http://maddieb221.blogspot.com/2012/07/low-70212.html, because she always looks amazing. She showed how you can take the simple ponytail and dress it up. I think that she look stunning and it is a perfect length. I love that it is just a little mess and not so perfect. Let me say I lover her in this yellow dress I must add, it super sexy and the color looks great on her skin. With these turquoise earrings this look worked from head to toe.
The up do is another great thing for summer. Anna Paquin took the up do to another level. This hair style is a hit in my book. It just so well done so neat and clean and refreshing to see a classic style done in a modern way. I love how this hair style brings out her best feature her amazing face. It also showcases her great earrings and how mature she is. I know sometime I can only see her as Rogue from X-Men but with this hair style I completely saw her in a new light. Yes, I know she is a star on the show True Bloods but I am a fan of her modern style.
Here are just a few summer hair styles that are sure to turn a few heads or just to give you something different from you normal everyday style.

HOW TO KEEP YOUR LITTLE LADIES AGE APPROPRIATE AND ON TREND
As a mom it is important for me to keep my soon to be 13 year old on trend but age appropriated or in her words "Like the kids at school mom". I find it hard to dress her from time to time, Taylor is too big for the kid section but the junior section lest be honest has clothing that I just won't let her wear. So what is the solution. I can't tell you but her is what we do. We talk about what we think looks nice and what is flattering on our body. And even if she picks something that I don't agree with as mommy she know I reserve the right to veto anything and with that little thought in the back of her mind helps her stay on the right course (at least for now). Here are a few looks we came up with together.

DESIGNER SPOTLIGHT! Tory Burch
This weeks Designer Spotlight I wanted to feature a designer who I would say is going to be around for a while, Tory Burch. I was introduced to Tory Burch while I was working at Nordstrom. It started with her shoes and then I was exposed to Tory Burch culture. Tory Burch"is an attainable, luxury lifestyle brand defined by classic American sportswear with and electric sensibility", translation she mixes classic american style with the things of now. Tory Burch began her fashion label in 2004. What made this label a monster success was it biggest endorsement from Oprah Winfrey in 2005. Prior to her label she worked with Harper's Bazaar magazine; was a copywriter for Ralph Lauren; and also worked with Vera Wang, which I feel gave her a in-depth look into how she wanted to showcase her own take on classic american style in this century. Since opening her first store in Manhattan, NY; which sold out in 2004 she now has 36 stores nationwide and is sold in high-end stores as well. With her mix of prints and vibrant use of color I sure that you cant go wrong with having a little Tory in her closet. From blouses to flip flops Tory Burch can cover you from head to toe. Check it out at http://www.toryburch.com/.

THE L.O.W. 7/0912
This week look comes from one of my favorite former Disney kids ......Ms. Demi Lovato. With all the struggles she faced, she is still able to pull it all together and look great with her edgy style. I love how she too a neon mini dress and just paired it with a simple black leather jacket and back peep toe pump. It is a look that I replicate frequently. My favorite thing about this out fit is her hair. I love hip fresh and she looks amazing. I added a pick of my spin on this look and yes that is me with the blonde hair. Told you I like to try new things. So tell me what you think of Demi and me...

DESIGNER SPOTLIGHT! Giuseppe Zanotti
I wanted to do something a little different. I know a lot of bloggers talk about fashion, what trends are hot a who wore what. But I wanted to talk about the designers who actually drive our love for the fashion. This is something I will try to bring to you each week. I will give a brief overview and show case what is featured in the current line.
GIUSEPPE ZANOTTI
Giuseppe Zanotti was born in April of 1957 in Rimini, Italy. In the early 1980's he began as a freelance design working with some of the big names in the fashion world; Valentino, Missoni, Dior, and Roberto Cavalli just to name a few. In 1994 he took over a small shoe company and began creating is own works of art. In the 2000s Giuseppe took is brand to the masses and now has boutiques around the globe from Milan, Dubai to San Francisco. Here are a few of my favorites from his Spring/Summer Collection 2012. WEEKLY FEATURE .... PART TWO
Okay so lets talk about more about our best friends. So I did that small little peace on on earrings which I must say was just my way of getting back into the grove of things.
Bracelets
Now bracelets are great to add a hint of bling or color to an outfit.. You can stick with the classics tennis bracelet or go with bangles which are all the rage and cuffs are big too.
I love how you can group so many together. All different shapes, colors, and sizes. But please beware do not put so many on that you go all the way up the arm. Like I tell my 12 year old take a quick look before you walk out the door and take one thing off.
Now I love how cuffs are crazy big right now. You can go with the classic metallic or the leather cuff. I also love when the leather and metal are mixed together. The wired flower cuff below is just a beautiful work of art.
Now link bracelets and charm bracelets are nice too. Take a look at a few of my favorites.
Here are just a few bracelets that I like. Tell me which ones you like and where to get them at.
